For those who have a loved one in the Military

In my Mommy Group there was a discussion raised what does freedom mean to you? I had a hard time answering this question actually.
Then a member told me her sister is diligent in thanking service women and men. She asked if Rick gets thanked a lot and how does it make him feel.

So I ask you does your spouse get thanked a lot? Do people say anything to you? How does your husband react to the appreciation?

Just stumbled onto your blog, VERY cute!
I am prior service and my husband is active duty in the Army, and both my husband and I have been thanked a lot and it's so nice to know that people actually do appreciate what we have done but it's also one of those things, because neither of us really know what to say in response to a complete stranger that is showing their appreciation to you. We appreciate it for sure, but every soldier joined for their own personal reason's knowing what they would have to do. We end up just saying "your welcome" but we wish we had something better to say besides such a generic "your welcome".
