Myspace Layouts

So many of you know that my hobby is PSP. When I get in the mood I am a creative crazy woman with PSP. I changed both of my profile layouts for the week honoring Rick's upcoming 44th Birthday and New Years... So take a look. I know there are some touches of Christmas I will clean it up more its just a start while I was on break from Christmas dishes. Not quite ready to let go of Christmas Magic.

I make things for a Military Tag site too.

So I was going to use this graphic for a layout. (I did make an Army one can't find it though...)

I love you baby!

About Me

About Me

Hello I am Bella. I am a 28 year old Mom. I am a PROUD Army Wife. We've only been married a short time but we feel like we have been soul mates since before we were born. His name is Rick. We each have two kids from our previous Marriages. Alex (21) A Soldier himself, James (20), Mackenzie (7), and Skylar (5). We live in Huntsville. As much as Georgia has a piece of my heart. I do like Alabama. I am Madly in love with my husband. He's currently serving out his last years in the United States Army. He's crazy enough to deal with Ammo all day so I will be crazy in love enough to marry him. My baby brought me to life like the song says. He didn't only bring me to life, He showed me how life could be lived. Amongst our 4 children, We have two cats Lightening and Tinker Bell and my Cockatiel Lily. No one else would claim her and she's been my feather baby for 4 years now. She knows mommy spoils her.

Since Moving to Alabama to spend the rest of our lives together. I have been introduced to Army Life. The Army Family. We are truly a family. Not everyone is the same and at some points there are "Family" members you just don't care for but when it boiled down to it, we have to support each other. Most of all Support our  Troops. I "met" my husband through my blogging and then we kept in touch using myspace, I've met many wonderful Army Wives since moving here. One of them reached out to me on Myspace. We've became pretty close.

My husband's job is what he enjoys mostly. Its the only thing he has ever known till finding true love and parent hood. He's a GOOD soldier but its not who he is. He wears his uniform proudly, He hangs his flag with honor, He fights with Strength. But there is so much more to my husband, I am Blessed. I am a new Army Wife but have aquired alot of resources and made some close friendships. I am a Proud Army Wife and Step Mom! That's not me thats just part of my soul. I love to connect with my "Internet Friends", I love to play around with my Paint Shop Pro, Show my patriotic side (not just because of his job), Scrapbooking, Crafting and Card Creating. I stay quite busy! I have an intense love for my Husband, My Family, For God, Writing, Poetry, Reading, Movies and Music.

    Bring Santa Home

    "Bring Him Home Santa"

Dear Santa, I need to change my Christmas list
There's one big thing I missed
You see my Daddy's working for away from here
And I know Santa, I asked for a Barbie doll
And a brand new soccer ball
But I'd trade it all, for just one gift this year...

Bring him home Santa, bring him home to mom and me
Let us wake up Christmas morning, and find him standing by our tree
You can pick him up on your way, he could ride there in your sleigh
Don't make him spend Christmas all alone
    Bring him home

And Santa, here's a picture that I drew
Of him in his dress blues
Mama says our country needs him over there
And you know Santa, this whole year I've been good
And I was hopin' that would
Do all you could to answer her prayer...

Bring him home Santa, bring him home to mom and me
Let us wake up Christmas morning, and find him standing by our tree
You can pick him up on your way, he could ride there in your sleigh
Don't make him spend Christmas all alone
    Bring him home

    Bring him home
    Bring him home
    Bring him home

    A Day and a half

I haven't been home. Monday I had to meet the reporter at 12 o'clock oh let me tell you about this reporter. Well perhaps maybe in a private blog. :) So then I went from the location over to ACS then to Walmart. I honestly don't know where the time went. Then I went to my friends who was with me and she cooked dinner. We decided to let our kids sleep over and once they were asleep we would tackle wrapping presents. We did that till late. She brought me home to sleep. Rick called. Rick got online so I didn't get much sleep LOL. Then she had to take her son to preschool. So she went and wanted to drop off Skylar. I said well lets try to wrap presents while he's at school. Well what about Skylar? I was hoping she would stay out of our hair about the time the baby took a nap. No such luck. Then we went and picked up her son. Then we came back. Then we had to meet someone to sale a toddler bed, then to the PX then back to her house for Dinner and Tila Tequila

Rick loves his confrontational part two

Rick knows I LOOOOVE Apple bee's. Not so much their dinner food but I am perfectly content with a blonde brownie for desert and a long ice tea to get me some HAPPY!. Well I went with some friends. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. (seating time was immediate) They brought the other couple's entree's out I started to notice that they were done before even reciving my steak. We had to ask for refills, straws, silverware, and the kids food (Mac and Cheese). So I went and asked for a manager and he covered our meal (6 people) minus the alcohol and even threw in our Blonde Brownie. Go me I saved the day. So I had a delicious steak dinner and blonde brownie for free :) Go me. Its rare for me but I left an awesome tip for the wait service (not the cooks). The manager told me 4 cooks called in sick so they had a kitchen staff consisting of all management (shouldn't they do a BETTER job?) lol. excuses excuses bs excuses. YOUR FIRED lol

One of my Favorite Quotes its from 10 things I hate about you

I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

    Can we...

Watch a movie just so I can fall asleep in your arms?

    I Need

Deal or No Deal like I need Carlos Mencia

I didn't call you at least it doesn't show up on Sprint as an out going call. So you must have just answered my text message and called me back as soon as you could. But I swear I don't remember what we talked about.

A Mommy's Letter to Santa Claus

A Mommy's Letter to Santa Claus!
    Body: Dear Santa,

I've been a good mom all year. I've fed, cleaned and cuddled my children on demand, visited the doctor's office more than my doctor,

sold sixty-two cases of candy bars to raise money to plant a shade tree on the school playground.

I was hoping you could spread my list out over several Christmases, since I had to write this letter with my son's red crayon, on the back of a receipt in the laundry room between cycles, and who knows when I'll find anymore free time in the next 18 years.

    Here are my Christmas wishes:

I'd like a pair of legs that don't ache (in any color, except purple, which I already have)

.....and arms that don't hurt or flap in the breeze; but are strong enough to pull my screaming child out of the candy aisle in the grocery store.

I'd also like a waist, since I lost mine somewhere in the seventh month of my last pregnancy.

    If you're hauling big ticket items this year I'd like fingerprint resistant windows and a radio that only plays adult music; a television that doesn't broadcast any programs containing talking animals;

and a refrigerator with a secret compartment behind the crisper where I can hide to talk on the phone.

On the practical side, I could use a talking doll that says, "Yes, Mommy" to boost my parental confidence, along with two kids who don't fight

and three pairs of jeans that will zip all the way up without the use of power tools.

I could also use a recording of Tibetan monks chanting "Don't eat in the living room" and "Take your hands off your brother,"

because my voice seems to be just out of my children's hearing range and can only be heard by the dog.

If it's too late to find any of these products, I'd settle for enough time to brush my teeth and comb my hair in the same morning ,

or the luxury of eating food warmer than room temperature without it being served in a Styrofoam container.

If you don't mind, I could also use a few Christmas miracles to brighten the holiday season.

Would it be too much trouble to declare ketchup a vegetable? It will clear my conscience immensely.

It would be helpful if you could coerce my children to help around the house without demanding payment as if they were the bosses of an organized crime family.

Well, Santa, the buzzer on the dryer is ringing and my son saw my feet under the laundry room door. I think he wants his crayon back.

Have a safe trip and remember to leave your wet boots by the door and come in and dry off so you don't catch cold.

Help yourself to cookies on the table but don't eat too many or leave crumbs on the carpet.

    Yours Always, a MOM...!

*Santa has asked that this gets passed on to all the mommies you know.

    My Busy Week

    Wow you ready for this?

Friday~ I did some running around. I went back out later that evening with a friend and she took me to get my hair cut and Skylar's hair cut. Although they didn't do what I asked them to do with my hair and two people told me they couldn't tell my hair had been cut. Skylar's bangs were too long as well. UGH it was just an annoying experience.

Saturday My husband called at 6 am and woke me up to tell me he wouldn't be able to meet online our usual time. I went back to sleep and between 6 am and 7 am I dreamed that I was with my "uncle" we went to the mall. I was driving a big conversion van and I put it in a ditch. So we went ahead and went inside instead of taking care of it. I was thinking oh no I have forgotten about the van since my uncle visited a month ago. I hadn't told the insurance company I hadn't told Rick. I also dreamed that my pregnant friend Jess Rose begged me to go with her to go get her hair done. She had been having some back pains and she was 37 weeks pregnant so I didn't want her going alone.
So in reality I knew she said she was leaving at 10 and I thought ok that was cool but when I called her at 8 to tell her I could go because Rick wasn't coming online. She was bugging me to go by 8:30 LOL

We went to the Hair Stylist but the salon manager kept telling us to come back so we went to Target, Then Movie Stop. Then Came back got her hair done got Skylar's hair redone. Then home to get her room mate and daughter. So we could go to Operation Christmas Bear. Its a Christmas party for families of deployed soldiers and the rest of the military I guess but we were special  guests. Santa was there handing out special bears, face painting, shirt painting, made special coupon books, Train, Makes ornaments for soldiers, Mrs Claus, Star Wars Characters, Ghetto Mickey and Minnie, Scooby, Blue from Blues Clues, and Ghetto frosty.. Ah I can't remember everything. So we did that till almost 4 o'clock. My pregnant friends room mate had to go to work and Jess needed me to stay with her because she had to do some errands like getting her daughter diapers, and Christmas dresses etc. Anyways so we both spent WAY to much money. In order for her to take her room mate to work I stayed with her at her house. We wrapped presents and watched the Holiday with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, and Jack Black... Then I stayed home with Mikayla while she went and picked up her room mate. Then she brought me home at 11:30. I was very exhausted. Oh and about the Van dream when I woke up I was thinking James would tell me if I were missing a vehicle right? I called my friend and said I have never owned any type of van right? HAHA!

Sunday. The Jess Rose, Her room mate Sarah, and Mikayla went to the circus. I stayed home due to money and stuff and I just wanted a break

Monday Jess rose had her OB appointment so I babysat Mikayla while she went alone. Her room mate was at work. She left me at about 10 am and called me at 2 pm to tell me she was going to have to have a c-section in an hour. I was so upset for her due to her husband being in Korea. He wasn't due home till Saturday. They did an emergency c-section due to low amniotic fluid. So she picked up Sarah at work and then came by to get her bag and kiss Mikayla by. I had my other friend Jess D. come and pick us up because I HAD to mail off Christmas packages. Jess D. Her two boys Collin 4½ and Landon 1, Mikayla 2, and mine Skylar 5. Went to Army Community Service to find out exactly how the Red Cross works getting her husband home then I had to call the Captain for more information. So between the Captain and the doctor they got daddy home later...Went to the shipping place to mail of Rick and Alex's christmas packages. We went to Burger King and got dinner for the kids. Landon has to be fed when HE wants or he screams bloody murder. Kid likes to eat! Then I decided to spend the night with Jess D so I don't have to have a constant eye on Mikayla. They didn't do Jess's c-section till 11 pm. Because she had fries. Molly Fay came into this world shortly after weighing 6 lbs 6 ounces.

Tuesday. We took Collin to preschool. I had playgroup and a waiting spouse meeting then we Went and got some flowers and balloons for the new momma. Took Mikayla to the hospital to see her mommy and sister. Then did some more running around and didn't again get home till dinner time.

Wednesday. I got a call that Jess needed Preemie clothes for Molly since she didn't fit into anything. She also needed a car seat cover and some towels. So I grabbed her everything she needed after looking in two places. I promised her I would take Mikayla to the Christmas Tree Lighting because the girls were promised to ride in Santa's sleigh. By the time we got done shopping it was time to go get changed and go to the Tree Lighting. She would only let me stay long enough for the girls to ride in the sleigh with real reindeer then go sit on Santa's lap. Then we took Mikayla and all Molly's things up to the hospital. Sarah quickly prompted me to leave. Daddy had just gotten there but I thought I had ok'd it with the new mommy to stay I guess not. Either way I was very upset about the whole day. I spent $70 on skylar's Christmas dress. I can't find the top half of it @@. I felt like I wasn't treated nicely for keeping Mikayla at least on Sarah's end. I was very upset and I felt my friends were upset with me

Thursday. Home sweet home after spending Monday and Tuesday night away from home and only getting to come home for 15 minutes a day. Thursday night I went and saw the Nutcracker.

Friday was Rick's old unit's Christmas party so the new parents and I went to that and then I went back to their house for some baby time. Then back home

Today My husband woke me up at Midnight this morning calling me. I woke up but not in time to answer the phone. I text him back to call me back. I tucked the phone in my bra so I would FEEL it and hear it. I waited till his usual time to be online and when he wasn't online I decided to call him. Lucky me I got through. I was like number one where the hell are you? he's like where the hell do you think I am. HAHA. VERRRY funny!. I was like number two. Why aren't you online? Because I am waiting in line to get online. Number three why the hell did you call me at midnight and not call me back? Did you get my text message? He's like yeah baby we talked. Really cause I don't remember a word! What did I say. He's like you called me. I was like no way. I so don't remember talking to you. My phone has no record of me calling him either LOL. FUNNY! This evening I baby sat with the room mate it was a very uncomfortable situation.

My vent for the week is one of my friends (the one with the two boys) was asking me why I was upset I lost Skylar's Christmas dress. She didn't understand the purpose or tradition in having a Christmas dress. She's like all that's important is that Skylar has a good time. I am sure she won't mind wearing what she has on etc etc. But when Asked Skylar said no she wanted to wear a dress. I also told her she would be upset if she lost something that cost her so much money too! and possibly because she had boys she didn't understand wanting to dress them up. She even asked her aunt if she had heard about a Christmas dress tradition. I was like silly that's why they always have an abundance of them at Easter and Christmas. Its nice to have nice pictures dressed nice. Go see Santa looking cute whatever. Then we had a tiff about how I was treated by this room mate. Ugh.

    What is Possible

What is possible goes beyond what is possible at the moment or what has been possible in the past. What is possible also includes everything that can be made possible through effort, discipline, innovation and determination.
When your options are limited, consider what you could do to expand those options. When you're not satisfied with any of the available possibilities, look for ways to make your own more favorable possibilities.

What is possible is not limited to what is convenient or what is comfortable or easy or immediate. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone, to expend some effort, to have some patience, and you'll dramatically increase the positive possibilities.

Possibilities include more than the ready-made solutions, pre-packaged for your convenience. There is more to living your possibilities than simply choosing among the ones handed to you.

The best possibilities are often those that require significant effort and commitment on your part. Be willing to make your own possibilities, and you'll be able to choose precisely the ones you desire.

    ~~Ralph Marston

    You will Achieve

You will achieve what you fully and confidently expect to achieve, but usually not on the first attempt. The only real failure is an unwillingness to persevere until that last attempt, the one that brings success.
Each time you fall short of the goal is actually a solid step in the direction of that goal. Each attempt makes you that much more prepared to take the next step. You cannot know in advance just how many attempts it will take. Yet you can be sure that each attempt will bring you one step closer to success.

The world is full of great achievements from inventors, musicians, authors, scientists, salespeople, artists, engineers and many others who fell short on the first attempt. How fortunate we are that they had the foresight to keep going until they got it right.

Stopping before you reach the goal does not make the discouragement go away. All it does is make the discouragement permanent. Instead, keep going, keep making the attempt, until you make that last, fulfilling attempt that brings the success you desire.

    ~~Ralph Marston

    Happy Freaking Thanksgiving Love AOL

Cari called me to check on me thanks sweetheart. Your voice isn't anything like I thought it would be HAHA! and I came home I had zero emails but there was emails in what would be my old mail folder so I deleted them so my full mailbox got cleared. THANKFULLY and now I can start sending mail. Now I know better.

    Better Sex Diet

Now my sex life is great when he's home and even as he is thousands of miles away. They do have modern conviences that we take advantage of LOL.
But perhaps I need a better sex diet to match his Libdio.

    Mood enhancers
Foods like oysters really can ignite passion in the bedroom. How? They're good for your heart. And what's good for your heart is good for your libido, too. After all, if your arteries are clogged, getting blood to flow down south can be problematic, says Bonnie Dix, M.A., R.D., of the American Dietetic Association. Here are some more romance-enhancing wonders:

Oysters **ONE WORD YUCK THIS GA GIRL AND MY SOLDIER WON'T EAT THEM**
Since the tale of Aphrodite emerging from the sea on an oyster shell, this sexy shellfish has been hailed as an aphrodisiac. Oysters and other fatty fish such as salmon, scallops and sardines are loaded with healthful monounsaturated fats called Omega 3s. And they carry a hefty dose of testosterone-boosting zinc.

    Champagne
So you've already heard the buzz that a daily glass of wine raises good cholesterol and helps prevent arteries from clogging. But alcohol, especially champagne, can also improve your health and your sex life. Like many mind altering substances, a glass or two of champagne will lower inhibitions and help ease any couple into an amorous mood.
*Ok I don't need that much help getting in bed with my hubby I am willing just not a HORNY TOAD lol

    Pine Nuts
Pine nuts have more protein than any other nut. Besides providing protein to help increase stamina, pine nuts are heavy in healthful monosaturated fats, zinc and other nutrients that are linked with increased sexual desire. Sexier than your average peanut, pine nuts are often present on many fine-dining menus.

    Artichoke
This nutrient-dense, peculiar plant was once considered such a powerful aphrodisac that women were banned from eating it. According to Martha Hopkins, co-author of 'Inter-Courses: An Aphrodisiac Cookbook,' part of the appeal of the artichoke may be that you have to work hard to "get past the spiked leaves to get to the velvety-smooth heart."

    Spices
The right spices not only heat things up on the tongue, but also in the bedroom. "Chili pepper and ginger help improve circulation," says Dix, "and hot spices like cayenne, curry and cumin help warm the body." The intoxicating aromas of exotic spices help infuse romance into the atmosphere.

    Avacodo
    **Guacamole here I come!
According to the Doctrine of Signatures, food aids the part of the body it resembles. In fact, the Aztecs valued the avocado as an aphrodisiac and named it ahuacale or testicle because they grow in pairs. Though science can neither confirm nor deny that this fruit will get your fire going, it will give you fuel in the form of healthy fats, protein and potassium.

    Chocolate
Don't skip dessert: Eating chocolate causes the release of mood-boosting, stress-reducing serotonin. The sweet stuff also causes a release of phenylethylamine, which causes changes in blood pressure and blood-sugar levels leading to feelings of excitement. Just make sure to choose antioxidant-rich dark chocolate.
** Do I really have to? hehe

    Dealing with Toxic Relationships

This is DEFINATELY on my mind
This was on AOL's front page today

Someone is dragging you down so much that you feel sapped and sick. You're anxious about the relationship and no longer get excited to see this person who has more ups and downs than a roller coaster. Sound familiar? Although toxic relationships can take on many different forms, those are the main characteristics, and if you're involved in one, you need to address it before it takes you down completely, says Nancy O'Reilly, Psy.D., clinical psychologist in Springfield, Mo., and founder of WomenSpeak.com, a resource Web site to assist women with their health, financial, relationship and aging concerns. Here's how to deal with eight common problem relationships.
    Dr. Do Little
Write down the problems you have with your doctor and discuss them during your appointment. If your doctor doesn't listen and ignores your needs, be prepared to make a change. Sometimes, though, a wake-up call can get this person back on track; burnout is common for health care providers, and your doctor may be unaware of his or her unprofessional manners.
    Friend or Foe
Sit down with your friend and tell her you're tired of this one-sided relationship. Explain that you need more out of the relationship and see what she's willing to give. Be prepared, though: Your friend could walk away. If she's not willing to change, you'll have to decide if the friendship's worth keeping.
    Bad Bosses
Document everything, including conversations with your boss and actions your boss takes. If you've tried to resolve things, note that, too. Then consult your company's policies and procedures manual and determine your rights. Continue trying to resolve things with your boss, and if nothing changes, bring your case to human resources.
    Caustic Co-Workers
Don't jump to assumptions about your co-worker; he or she could be having problems unrelated to work. So approach this person with tact and express concern that you're not working well together. Ask if everything's OK. Meanwhile, document everything. If your co-worker doesn't respond to your approach, go to your supervisor or human resources department and be specific about how this person is affecting your job performance.
    Oh Brother
Chat with your sibling in a non-confrontational manner. Gently explain that you're bothered by how the two of you are butting heads and ask if there's a way you can resolve things. If that fails, accept that although you might love your sibling, you don't have to like him or her. Nor are you required to spend time with family. If, for instance, it's holiday time, and your entire family's gathering, politely excuse yourself and if possible, arrange another time to see only family members you enjoy.
    in law trouble
Approach your sibling when the spouse isn't around and speak your woes, telling your sibling you're unhappy with how his or her partner's behaving. But be prepared: Your sibling could cut ties with you or decrease how much time you see each other. Another tactic? Approach your sibling's spouse directly and state your case, asking how the two of you can get along better.
    Partner Problems
List the pros and cons of being in a relationship with your current partner. Ask yourself what you're getting out of it and where you see it going in five years. Think, too, about how you were before you got involved with this person. Has anything about you changed? If you decide the relationship is worth keeping, tell your partner you're unhappy and suggest counseling. If this relationship is a dead end, as tough as it will be, make steps to terminate it.
    Tensions at Home
If you need your roommate to help pay the bills, be up front. Tell her you've got concerns about how the two of you are getting along. Stress, though, that you're not the best roommate in the world either and ask how you can improve, too. If, however, this chat is out of the question or she's not listening, look for a new place to live or politely ask her to move out.

    I am ONE person!

I am done I am so frustrated I wished I never even made plans for Thanksgiving. I am so stressed already. I am not even the one cooking. This is a learning experience for next month though
I get out of bed at 8 am. I get a call from Jess D asking what time she wants Jess R to go pick up soldiers. So I call Jess R and her best friend answers Jess R is in the shower. I gave her Jess D's number to call when she gets out of the shower. Then Jess D calls back she says they have to be at the school thirty minutes earlier than she told me yesterday. I was like well Jess R is in the shower I will go in her place and sign for the soldiers. We were going to adopt soldiers in AIT to feed them both families were going to do it. I haven't gotten dressed, I haven't had a cigarette, I haven't had caffeine, I haven't fed anyone clearly. I hurry up and get dressed. She calls me again from my front door and Skylar isn't getting motivated to get dressed and I am really frustrated because being rushed isn't something I enjoy. So we hurry up and go to the school which is 20 minutes away. We had never been there before. We made it there finally right on time. Apparently there is some list we weren't told about and you had to be pre approved for the soldiers. We had been calling for a month trying to find soldiers to feed. Jess R, Jess D, and myself.
I am getting back in Jess' van and my phone is ringing two people are calling me at once. My phone says Jess R. but its my sister so I just start telling her about we can't get soldiers etc etc. She's yelling at me when I realize its her. I was like oh sorry it said you were someone else. She's like well I just called to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. YEAH! Happy right?
I call Jess R back and tell her what happened. Jess D wants to drive around post and see if we can find anyone. Her husband says its not allowed. We find four soldiers walking at the PX and we ask them. They say they aren't allowed but to go to the Barracks and ask a Sergeant. Then her husband starts bitching at her again about it. So we don't get to adopt any soldiers. I am pulling in my drive way and Rick's text messaging me wondering where I am. I get two text back to back and then his phone call. Honey are you home? Yes I just walked in the door? Ok well get online. Immediately Skylar's like I am soooo hungry mommy. I am like baby I can't feed you right at the moment wait till after I talk to daddy. I had to restart my computer. I am trying to talk to Rick and Dayna calls to talk about computer differences and components. She's breaking up and I am trying to understand her. Skylar's begging for food. Then I get to say two phrases to Rick and he says its time to go. Jess R is like when are you coming over? We are sitting around and eating veggies. I said we still haven't gotten showers I still haven't smoked a full cigarette. I am just not ready. She's like well we can come get Skylar. I am like she needs a bath but she's wearing some clothes yanno. She's hungry. She's like well hurry up and get a shower and come over. Rick's giving me a five minute warning. Telling me to call him in 5 minutes. I get off the phone with Jess R and go outside for my first smoke and I can't get through. I tried four times in tears and I can't talk to Rick. James gets up and I am just venting screaming because I am so tired of being a the middle man b the one pulled in fifteen directions. NOTHING used to come before Skylar and now I have to put Rick first sometimes. My day can't start till after I talk to Rick because he could be online between 9:30 - 10:30 am. I have told the Jess' this.
From now on if you call while I am online I am not going to answer the phone when I am talking to Rick its really unfair but I am sorry I HAVE to talk to my husband. I want everyone to just go away for the hour so I can talk to my husband. Dayna just called back Rick rang in I answer and no one's there. He calls back but can't hear me. That's ok though cause I am bawling. I get my husband's voice for a few seconds today.

    Winnie the Pooh

Skylar was watching the classic Winnie the pooh show. You know with Christopher Robin, Owl, Gopher, Eyeore, Piglet, Pooh, Rabbit etc. and she kept asking where is Darcy. She's the new Christopher Robin, on the updated show. I had a kick out of that. She colored a picture almost all the way in the lines at Jess R's house with Darcy on it. Its gotta go in a letter to Rick soon...

    11/17/07

My friend Jess and I are rearranging my Living Room and Eating Area. I wish I knew where my camera is... Anyway's my husband has ten book shelves of books he isn't willing to part with. One of them is cook books I just stored in the kitchen cabinets. So she moved three bookshelves in the eating area. Then we have six left to move. I moved my DVD book shelves (two tall ones) and my TV down a bit into a corner. My entertainment center wasn't stable so we threw that out. Skylar's computer desk wasn't stable we threw that out. We put the futon in the garage. Trying to make the house more Home & Gardens and less like a huge bachelor pad. James isn't thrilled but I think we got started by trying to make room for the Christmas Tree. As you walk into my house there is the shrunk china cabinet thingy and behind it 4 of the shelves are behind it so its like a wall and Jess says that's a bit ba blam! So she wants to move the shrunk but I think its too heavy and not much wall space to put it anywhere else except behind the couch and not sure I would be happy with it there. She wants to disperse the rest of the book shelves on other walls. Since Rick and James will not let us do anything else with these bizzilion books. I am cool with all the moving I too have to get used to it. Believe or not I tread lightly around here. I am the big bad intruder evil step mom. I don't want to seem like the moment Rick is deployed I am taking over the house and getting rid of what makes it "Rick's"... I know Rick's books and DVD's are precious to him. Its like I am not going to throw out his clothes in the closet and make it like he doesn't exist. My days are filled with Rick trust me. I want reminders of him around. Things that make us close. While Moving books I actually found one or two I would like to pick up when the mood strikes me. I laid them seperately so I can find them. Granted I don't know why we need the Birds of North America Guide book LOL but hey it may come in handy when Skylar's in school or I see an interesting bird eh? I will never make Rick get rid of his books I like them. Just he needs a man den poor man lol.

    H.P. Lovecraft

Any of you familiar with this author?

I guess James likes it. So his uncle and aunt get him stuff about the book such as Cthulhu plush, t-shirts, and other junk.
Haha When Jess and I were working and Landon wanted Cthulhu and Jess was giving him hard time and saying James well it looks like a toy. James said mine mine my Cthulhu lol. So I was thinking there is an idea I will look for a second t-shirt for him. He walked in on me Ebaying and looked at some of the items on Ebay. He commented he would like the Super hero Cthulhu because its just cool. But he thinks we are over playing Cthulhu like its his favorite thing or something. He said Anytime Aunt Beth and Uncle George get me something its Cthulhu. I was like well because they know you like Lovecraft. I said there is nothing wrong with collecting things you like. Anyway's they have a really nice figurine type sculpture on Ebay, he is interested in and a few other things so that will be on his Christmas Wish List LOL. But he's right its a bit over done with the fanny pack, slippers, book pack, and nursery items... I think the Goth and Emo's took it over lmao. I think that's what offends him most.

So um how about Christmas Cthulhu Plush? Giant Cthulhu which is what he really wants LOL. That boy I swear he's like ya'll act like I want it or something they he will be oooh ahh all over the items lmao. I saved a bunch of links. Loves you... I can decorate his room in Green and have a toy box for his Cthulhu... Or would it be better in a doll bed with a canopy?

Do you think long distance relationships work?

Yes they can work. I think if you love someone you will go through hell for them. You will wait for them. You will be faithful and trust them. It takes work. I mean flights or long drives to see each other. Constant communication. My husband doesn't have too much faith in long distance relationships but we are in one now for just this year. We are still as much if not more in love than the day we got married. Absoultely

    Houston We Have a Problem

My Christmas tree and I have alot of history. Yes my husband has one of his own. But its nothing to write home to mom about kwim? My tree is old but quite impressive. I used to decorate it with my dad then I got it from my mom last year? or the year before. Well when I left Georgia certain people didn't want me to have it but I got it anyways after some fighting. :) Begging and pleading. Sure enough the girth of the tree doesn't leave alot of place where I can put it in the house. I think its got a 4 foot girth. Joy!

Little Reminders that I love my husband

We have had a good couple of days. At least Rick and I have. We got in a little argument with Sprint (NOT WITH EACH OTHER) but overall its been a good week. I bought a carton of cigarettes and I have never appreciated Rick more just for giving me the abilities that he does. I just wanted to give him a big hug and a Thank You. Little things some take for granted... I mailed him two care packages. Went to the Scrapbook Store. Then McDonalds. We got home and my neighbor was giving away one of those huge cat hotel tower things. So I propped it up on Butch's car and I walked behind it carrying it LMAO.

Forgive me Rick for I have sinned

Jess felt sorry for me I guess and all the pouting I did over my tree. She came to our house and wanted to make it more Homes and Gardens. So we rearranged the dining room and down sized a bit and moved three book shelves in there. Working on a 4th :x
Oh yeah and I used your credit card today lmao. If I get a spanking I want it to be good.

    Mail Call

Two letters from Rick today. They made me laugh, cry, and smile.
A letter and a card out to him today and his care packages tomorrow. Anyone got plumbers tape and a copy of Banachek?

    11/14/07

Welp. I thought I had it situated with Butch that he was going to give me a ride to and from Georgia for Thanksgiving. He called me on the 9th and he said he would be here on the 10th. I said wow that early? He's like yeah. I was like oh so your just going to chill here for a week? He's like yeah I thought I would. Well he didn't get here till the 13th. I am right in the middle of Ballet with Skylar and he shows up at gate 9 so I had to drop everything and go get him at gate 9. I got him a pass for two weeks. Then he is like well you ready to go to Georgia? I am like NO? He's like oh I thought I would take you right back. I said I can't leave James? He's like why not? I said James has work. Plus I got responsibilities here. Rick's shit would hit the roof. He had every intention of driving me to Georgia and leaving me there! I had thought if he was going to be here two weeks that I would get a chance to buy a car and do holiday shoppping etc. I could get everything accomplished so after he leaves I will be without transportation etc.

You gotta understand me to know that what makes me happy is being able to provide for my daughter. If I feel like I can't accomplish simple crap for her it gets me all depressed. Every year of her life she has gotten a new dress for Christmas. Its just something I have always done. Christmas, Easter, Birthday and maybe even Thanksgiving.

Well I did get the title mailed off and I got that accomplished so I should be getting the settlement from the insurance policy on our car.

Today I went and returned a library book, mailed off the title to the metro, then we went to the mall to look for Skylar's Christmas Dress I had my heart set on they had NONE. They had some holiday seperates but nothing like I had my heart set on. No biggie I will just order it. I did purchase several special ornaments. Then I went to Wal-Mart and I got almost everything on my list. I even got everything to put Rick together a special care package. They had the Smart Cycle rick wanted to get Skylar $15.00 off so I texted him and he told me to go ahead and get it... after I checked out plus we had Skylar I couldn't get a big ticket item right there with her watching. I came home and packed his two care packages. Then I cleared some space for a Christmas Tree in the living room but gave up that since I was just weepy and not in the mood for the physical work. I was getting pretty upset. I asked my friend J.R. to watch Skylar while I ran to Walmart. Then I talked to J.D. and she just kinda gave me a pat on the back and hug (Verbally). Eventually I took Skylar to J.R.s and ran to Walmart and got the Smart Cycle, Two games, christmas lights and a christmas bear. I guess Butch is feeling bad about the situation and its not the way I intended him to feel. But he then took me to Children's Place and I got Skylar's Christmas outfit that I had passed up and I grabbed me a matching shirt as well.

I just really wanted to see everyone back in Georgia. My sister is pissy about it. Skylar has seen the same Santa every Thanksgiving Night her entire life and now all this is taken away from us.

Call me whatever you want but this is my first deployment, my first time away from home why can't people be more compassionate toward me. I have lived here 10 months and a day. No one has came to visit me even though they said they would numerous times. Its not like I am days away. Its a 3 and 4 hour drive. I have been there about 10 times but no one comes here. What else is new this is ALWAYS the case. I make all the effort. But since its my first Thanksgiving without an adult YOU'd think they would give me more sympathy.

F' it Apparently I don't mean enough to them. Rick promises to go there next Thanksgiving but why do I have to keep making the effort? Why am I always the one to go to everyone and they never come to me. I bet no one can tell me one time (other than Butch's two visits) that someone has come out to see me?? Again its not FAR! Of course J.R. and J.D. has both offered their homes to me on T'Giving but I know me on a holiday I am not good company. I miss my son and now I am going to be a lump of clay with loneliness missing my husband. Skylar wouldn't notice if we just did nothing??

Where do you want to travel most in the world?

Where ever my heart (my husband) leads me.

    11/12

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I am having a blue day. Rick pulled a muscle yesterday I suspect its the beginnings of a hernia. But he won't listen to me. LOL. I would assume he would go to Germany for surgery but then if they wanted it in where he is I wouldn't be so happy LOL... Anyways he says he is a much better camper today. Although he didn't get to check the net today. Oh boy does he have emails. I blogged like 6 times yesterday, Then he called but reception was better so I offered to call him on my dime and the calls haven't been going through. Then he called again and dead silence  so me not so happy. Also all this Christmas talk of course has got me missing him more. I don't do well on the holidays anyways. I am a big family person and my family was torn apart 7 years ago and everything changed for me so I haven't done Christmas well since.

I planned on keeping myself busy today. I was supposed to go up to JAG to get the Metro's title Notarized but everything is closed today so I couldn't mail in the Title or get it Notarized. I can't mail Rick's letters and cards today. Butch decided to take his sweet time and end up here nearly at the last minute @@. Really annoys me to get Skylar's hopes up. So my friend of a friend who is PCS'ing (job transfer) to Germany gave me a dresser. Eh it needs a little work but I will still use it. It was free why not take it when I need it. So I put it in Skylar's room and utilizing it. Now I want to get Skylar's room back in order. so when Butch comes he can sleep in there. So I got lots of laundry to do and I put away what was out. I gotta get James to move the electronics over on the dresser and set up her new doll house again. I hope it didn't get broken .

I got the above graphic as an incredimail stat and had to make it into a myspace layout. Its nearly midnight here and I just started feeling it. *cries* there was more I wanted to write.

What's your Favorite book and why?

Bible of course~ It provides me with insight, faith, love, power, grace, and humbleness...

Then Gianna Aborted and Lived to tell about it. ~ This book taught me more about my faith and how to give my troubles to God and just about faith and how to accept things you cannot change. Gianna is a very strong woman.

Unlikely Angel ~ Another strong woman. I picked up this book because I knew the story from being in Georgia at the time of events. The book was on sale and I really was glued to it.

The Great Gatsby ~ I just love this story

    Beowulf ~ Classic Lit :)

    Shakespeare ~ Who's a better writer?

and Chicken Soup Books.. ~ Inspirational.

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

    Bella is Frumpy

So I've been thinking alot today obviously. Maybe boredom. But I never wear sweats unless I am sick. Today I have a bad cold and I decided to leave sweats on all day. So you know I don't feel good right? Well I was talking to a friend and she's like I wear sweats all the time. I was like yeah I got on Rick's sweat pants and a hoodie.. I don't like to look frumpy if I leave the house. Perhaps because I am frumpy enough on my own. So that got me thinking...My adopted mom is always well put together and several of my family members are always well put together. So perhaps I don't like to be frumpy and I like to look well put together. Other than make up I don't usually care about curling my hair or make up. I am not high maintence I just like to look nicer. So I wonder what this means and if it means anything at all?

    Insight of Children

I was outside with Skylar when she was looking at the stars and she said mommy you think the stars are where the hero's are. You know the hero with the butterflies? And she went on to talk about what the hero's name was and such. *smiles*

    Marriage retreat

The Army paid for a trip down to Panama City Florida. We went to a Marriage Retreat. It was like a Honeymoon for us. We went down to Tyndall Air Force base. At our morning classes the jets were flying over head. My adrenaline raced as I watched the jets fly over head. I felt so close to my father during those times. Since he flew jets in the Air Force... It was a great moment.

    11/11 Happy Veterans Day

    VeteransDaywithflag lovingsoldiervet Thankfulforsoldier

Welcome to my Ho Hum Sunday.

Butch was supposed to be here yesterday but he figured it was too late and he was right. I probably wouldn't have been able to get him a pass into post last night. Happy Veterans Day to those who serve, have served, and their families who have sacraficed. I have been struggling with a bad cold and it got worse yesterday. Joy Joy. So if you read my frumpy blog then you would know I just stayed in Sweats all day. I was surprised when Skylar got a bath and came in on my bed and passed out for 3 hour nap. Maybe I shouldn't have let her take one because its nearly eleven now she is wearing herself out by being hyper in bed. I talked with Rick for about 30 minutes today. He pulled a muscle but he is feeling much better now he says. He'd better be! I had to tease him about how I am usually right about things. So around 4 pm I decided to take James and Skylar and go up to the Commissary. James became obsessed with getting his own head set. I must have mentioned something to him *halo*... I knew Butch was going to call as soon as I went into the commissary. I was just thinking I am going to have a car full of groceries and have to go drop off James and pick up my friend so she could drive my car up to the gate. But he just said he would be here on  Tuesday. I have to turn the rental in on Tuesday then i will have no car :( I planned on taking the title to the Metro up to Jag tomorrow and mail it off and go up to Housing and see what I could do to make Butch's stay nicer. But Jag and Housing will be closed because of the holiday. Tuesday is Ballet and Butch's arrival... Then after that who knows.

    Sending Christmas to Iraq

ADD "SENDING XMAS TO IRAQ" AND PASS US AROUND! Its a Myspace Profile. Click the Picture for the Link

Everyone should know Walter Reed is not taking Christmas Cards or any packages for "any" soldier. They won't be recieved by the wounded soldiers there unless you address a soldier directly! I brought it up at a waiting spouses meeting on Tuesday because everyone asks me how to sponsor soldiers or donate to them. They don't have the resources to screen everything so they will just throw it away :( to send Christmas cards to service vets, at Walter Reid Hospital, in Washington...Click on the email address, below, and you'll see why. I was only just informed about this. It seems such a shame, that we have to be so afraid to do these things, but "you can't fight city hall" !!!!...and no sense in wasting cards and postage, when they're only going to thrown them away... http://www.wramc.amedd.army.mil/Lists/WRNews/DispForm.aspx?Id=24&

I got this in an email today.
    UPDATE 11/05/07
Over at Michelle Malkin is another way to send a card:

I called Walter Reed to find out the best way to send a bunch of cards to soldiers, and was directed to the Red Cross office at Walter Reed. The gentleman I spoke to said to bundle multiple cards in one big manilla envelope and send them to the Red Cross office and they will distribute them. He was a nice man who is a wounded soldier himself.

The address I was given is:

    Red Cross
    Walter Reed Army Medical Center
    6900 Georgia Avenue NW
    Heaton Pavillion
    3EO5
    Washington, DC 20307

The man said they can also use stamps, gloves and stocking caps at the Red Cross office there.

    Also:

Call and get a soldier’s name to send a card. The number is (202)782-3501.

Aqua Dots Recall. Is Santa going out of business or what?

Spin Master Recalls Aqua Dots – Children Became Unconscious After Swallowing Beads
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
    Name of Product: Aqua Dots

    Units: About 4.2 million

Distributor: Spin Master, of Toronto, Canada

Hazard: The coating on the beads that causes the beads to stick to each other when water is added contains a chemical that can turn toxic when many are ingested. Children who swallow the beads can become comatose, develop respiratory depression, or have seizures.

Incidents/Injuries: CPSC has received two reports over the past several days of children swallowing Aqua Dots. A 20-month-old child swallowed several dozen beads. He became dizzy and vomited several times before slipping into a comatose state for a period of time, was hospitalized, and has since fully recovered. A second child also vomited and slipped into a comatose state and was hospitalized for five days.

Description: The recalled toy is a craft kit which allows children to create various multi-dimensional designs using small colored beads. The beads fuse together when sprayed with water. The recall applies to all models of Aqua Dots. The product is available in various different kits with accessories such as a drying fan, applicator pen, design templates for the beads, and spray bottle. The product is labeled for ages 4+.

Sold at: Mass merchandisers nationwide from April 2007 through November 2007 for between $17 and $30.

    Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled toy away from children and contact Spin Master to return for free replacement beads or a toy of equal value.

Consumer Contact: For additional information, contact Spin Master at (800) 622-8339 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm's Web site at www.aquadotsrecall.com

Also check this site for the other toy recalls I hadn't known about....

    What we go through..

I walk past James in the other room. I think to myself does he know really how hard this is as a wife or a mom? I can't show him its not fair. I can imagine how hard it is for him as a son. I mean it sucks for him to have his brother the person who is his best friend who has to go away and Rick where he is...

But I don't want to do this. I don't want to have to buy a car on my own, I don't want to have to know how to check Halloween Candy, I don't want to cuddle underneath Christmas Lights another year without Rick there with me. I don't want to do the Christmas shopping alone. I want him home!

So does James really know how tough this is? I don't think he can grasp the concept. What I wouldn't give if Rick can't come home for 6-9 months or even a year... if time could just stop. Sure I am strong enough to keep kicking living daily life but do I really have to do holidays and important things. I wrote Rick a letter tonight. I said sure this independance thing is what I needed and its healthy. But I don't want it. I don't want to live another day without my soul mate. Haven't I been away from him enough?
