My #TBT Post
Its good to read where you've been and where you come from and revisit that on occasion so you don't repeat the mistakes you made and make sure you remember the lessons you learned. One positive thing about my blog. Just like flipping through a photo album or a home movie (Do we still make those anymore?) But this one has deeper words and thoughts. I don't have an old blog post to share with you today but I just wanted to reflect on it. Have a blessed day.

My #TBT Post
The beauty of having a blog for the 10 years I have is the ability to look back at what you've written. Some things probably should be deleted off the internet for all to see LOL. I don't drunk dial or take really bad selfies.. okay maybe on occasion I take a selfie but its rare... Sometimes looking back on your life is a good thing to see where you've been. Don't live in the past but don't forget it either or you will be doomed to repeat it.
Here is my blog a year ago called Roaring at Haters.
Here is a picture of me back in 2008 of +Richard and I.
and the whole family at the time.

Thankful Thursday
Day 3 of Thankfulness. I am thankful for the military service members and emergency workers that hold ground back home. They all sacrifice a good bit to keep us safe, free, and healthy. Our lives wouldn't be what it is without them. My life wouldn't be what it is without my husband's 24 years of sacrifice and his hard work for the past 4 years at Northrup Grumman still continuing to do what he does and supports the troops at the same time.
Day 4 of the 30 days of Thankfulness. I know this is going to sound forced and cheesy but I have always been patriotic I am thankful for the right to vote. I can't vote this year because my voter card is locked away where I can't get it but I am very thankful for the right and never neglect or abuse them. *Update I don't know why I had two on the same day- ah it was a typo? I did go vote and thankful I did!
Day 5 of 30 days of thankfulness. Marriage isn't always easy. Its usually actually pretty tough- at least for me. Marriage is work but I am thankful I get to go to sleep with me at night most of the time. I can't say wake up next to the same person because he wakes up hours before I do LOL. I am thankful for Mackenzie, Skylar, and William. Skylar & William are healthy and moderately happy. I am blessed.
Yesterday was one of the worst nights I have had in a long time and I just longed for a hug, some reassurance, an "its going to be okay", How about we fix this problem etc... yet I felt so cold and alone it hurt that much worse. I was even drawing a blank for my thankfulness until this popped up on my feed. Day 6 of my 30 days of thankfulness
Day 7 of 30 days of thankfulness. I am taking this one back from the history books. I am thankful everyday for my lord and savior. Its nice to thank him once in a public forum. I try to talk to God or pray every day and sometimes I take time to meditate with a play list of praise music and some other songs that seem to set the mood of peace for my day. Some days I use praise music to calm myself too. Like the last two days my anxiety has been the worst its been in a few years. PTSD is cruising high because of the school. I woke up this morning and turned on my praise music to start my day off right and I am jamming along and I am just thankful knowing that he picks me up and hasn't let me down I am thankful for him! I am thankful for my faith. I am thankful for Willowbrook Baptist Church and Pastor Mark.
Day 8 of 30 days of Thankfulness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QJyMq6UN48&feature=share
Day 9 of the 30 days of thankfulness. I am thankful for my life experiences. When someone shows empathy for me and says I am so sorry that happened to you. I do want to say I am not. The only things I wish didn't happen was Adam passing away because Mackenzie lost his father and the custody war with Mackenzie because both have been unfair to Mackenzie. Adam had dreams and potential he was very talented just shrouded in sickness. However both events very much shaped me good and bad. I am thankful for most of my past relationships because each one has left a tattoo on my heart and soul. Some relationships I learned lessons, some have changed my life and made a lifetime impact on me. Some I remember fondly and some not so fondly. Either way I try not to make regrets. No matter what happened in my life I have learned every time I have gotten burned. I have learned with every success and failure and as one of my favorite poems says its in the valleys that I grow. I may have gotten lost a time or two but I know that I held on to my faith and he kept me straight and narrow. I didn't question loosing children or Adam. Loosing family and making me sacrifice to teach me and I believe I am on a path. So I am thankful for every person I encounter on my path, every bump, stall, rock, boulder, mountain, valley, rainbow, storm... Along my way for they shaped me and I would only take back the two things above for Mackenzie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do32g82qilk
I missed day 10 because of my pain I think?...lets get back on track.. I already had a day of thanking our troops Day 11 of the 30 days of thankfulness I am thankful for those doctors and other medical professionals that DO care. That aren't in it for the paycheck (I don't see most of them driving Mercedes Benz so I am not thinking there is money to be had) but those who actually strive to have good bed side manner and take the time to listen to their patients and will do what they promised in their oath. 22 years ago my life was in a doctors hands after I was neglected and very ill for a long time and he took my face and made it almost as good as new. I have never seen such a caring doctor and I probably won't trust a doctor so blindly like I do Dr Burstein. He set the bar really high for the other doctors in my life.
Day 12 of 30.. I am thankful for laughter. I laugh a lot even when I am sad. There is much to find amusing in the world and you don't even have to look hard. He's not funny but how can you watch Richard Simmons and not smile? Okay so he may be over the top and annoying to some but I grew up seeing him.. literally at his gym in LA. He makes me smile he exudes happiness. I can't imagine a world without Robin William's laughter. Now he is gone from this world but I still have his work to hold on to. No one can make me smile and laugh like he can. I still feel tinges of deep sadness if I see him on the TV, or an article or whatever but he can bring me out of my mood. I love to laugh and laughter is the best medicine.

Thursday Thirteen
Well after weeks of waiting I decided to do this blog on the night that Greys Anatomy finally has a new episode. Actually I haven't planned it this way but it worked out well.
The following are my thirteen favorite Greys Anatomy Episodes.
The synopsis of each episode is on IMDB.com
The following are my thirteen favorite Greys Anatomy Episodes.
Season 2, Episode 5: Bring the Pain
Original Air Date—23 October 2005
A storm rages in Seattle. Izzie is very disappointed by her date with Alex, and Meredith is upset with Derek. They both complain to George, which drives him crazy. There is a power shortage and George and Alex are stuck in an elevator with a critical patient. They need to perform heart surgery, but Alex is too freaked out and so George does it. **Meredith is known to say for her famous quote in this episode Pick Me Choose Me Love Me. " Okay, here it is. Your choice, it's simple, her or me. And I'm sure she's really great. But Derek, I love you. In a really, big really big pretend to like your taste in music, let you eat the last piece of cheesecake, hold a radio over my head outside your bedroom window, unfortunate way that makes me hate you... love you. So pick me. Choose me. Love me. I'll be at Joe's tonight so if you do decide to sign the papers, meet me there."Season 2, Episode 16: It's the End of the World

She is trying to not have the baby until he gets there and George helps her have the baby at the same time there is a bomb stuck in a man and at first Guest Star Christina Ricci's hand is on the bomb but Meredith replaces her. Original Air Date—15 May 2006
The chief tries to determine who's responsible. Callie presses George about his feelings. Derek and Meredith have to make a decision about Doc. The interns are charged with pleasing the chief's niece. **I think season 2 has to be one of the best seasons for Greys. I personally have always always loved this episode and often watch clips of it on youtube lol. I watched it recently in its entirety and its the first time I didn't cry when Denny died. I love Jeffery Dean Morgan. I am a huge fan.Season 3, Episode 6: Let the Angels Commit
Original Air Date—2 November 2006
Derek's sister comes to Seattle for a visit, and seems more into the extended family and gossip surrounding his divorce from Addison than into him. Thankful Thursday
You know I've struggled with depression and probably worse but I am just thankful that on this December day I know what to be grateful about. I don't make excuses for my cannot's because there is no such thing as a can not Luke 1:37 “For nothing is impossible with God” I haven't gotten this far by saying I can't that is for sure. I have had faith and after each beat down, low blow, kick down fight the devil and life dishes out at me I dust myself off and regain my faith and strength. Without my faith I would waste away to nothing. Challenge yourself for the new year and don't say things negative unless you can say 10 positive things before it!

Thankful Thursday
It is the third day of November just three weeks before Thanksgiving. My daughter brings us homework from school for us (my husband and I) to write what we are thankful for. I truly believe if you expect your prayers to be answered you have to be thankful for what our heavenly father has given us to begin with. You also have to be thankful when he answers your prayers but its not exactly what you hoped for. You should even be thankful for unanswered prayers because he has his reasons. Just like a parent to a child we say no for our reasons because we know better and most of the time we are doing it to protect the child or teach them.
on the first day of November I was worried about my husband's health. I am thankful I have a husband to worry about. I am thankful that he seems to be healthy even if he has some concerns. He was diagnosed with a Kidney Stone on the 29th and it still has not passed, then his eyes started to jaundice and the emergency room said he had Pink eye which I doubt they were right... that still doesn't explain the Jaundice.
on the second day of November I am thankful for a woman by the name of Sherron Ostrander she is an answered prayer I have been praying for... for years. I have prayed for years a way to help my step son James and she has given me some resources to get me well along my way. I think I heard this sound when the email came in last night
on the third day of November I am thankful that my husband can return to work after a week of being home. As thankful as I am for a husband we can have too much time together hehe. He was slightly getting on my nerves. Distance makes the heart grow fonder even if its only for a 20 mile distance for 8-10 hours haha! I am thankful that he is healthy enough to go back to work after causing quite the concern on Halloween. I am thankful his job at Northrop is there for him to go back to and they let him do some of his work from home. I am thankful for my dirty dishes (well they may be clean by now) because it means I have food thanks to the US Army and Northrop Grumman. I am thankful for my messy lived in house because without NG & the Army I wouldn't be able to be here. I owe my house to the US Army and my husband's dedicated service. I am thankful for my dirty clothes because it means at least I can afford the clothes on my back. My children have books to read, snacks to eat, movies to watch, the greatest technology at their finger tips, toys to play with.... providing for my children makes me grateful and thankful.
Now apparently I smell a diaper that needs to be changed. My son has left me a gift for which I am Thankful lol

Think Thin Thursdays
God Made me who I am supposed to be.. Yeah I go by that... BUT I am supposed to care for the temple that contains my spirit. I am over weight. Partly due to the fact that I don't eat the healthiest... I am not a crazy junk food eater either but there is always room for improvement, I didn't loose any weight after the birth of Skylar OR William and I have hypothyroidism soo my metabolism is shot.
I need to loose some weight. I don't want to but I've been told to give up the soda. I will try to exercise.. we are looking into the YMCA but told its pretty full. I have my Wii Fit and my walking at least. I would love a trainer to show me what my body can do with the amount of damage it has in it. I can't just do Zumba without hurting myself worse and being down on my back for several days from over doing it.
But I am trying to find motivation to better fit myself. So I can feel good in clothes and so I don't have to gain anymore weight.. even if I don't LOOSE weight I would at least like to not gain anymore. So hopefully I can be motivated enough to use Think Thin Thursday and update you on my progress on my weight loss journey.
I plan on snacking only on fruits and vegetables. If I do get a junk food snack it will be limited.
I plan on throwing a water in every time I drink a Soda.. Coke all gone? Grab a water.. My family are BAD enablers about my diet.
I need to take my Thyroid meds and get it monitored
I am looking into Coconut Oil.. Have you used it?
Doing my Wii Fit as much as possible. I don't know how much William will LET me do... It will be frustrating to see.
I will try to do more on Spark People but I find the nutrition tracker a challenge.
This week’s task: Make sure you blog about your goals for this week! Do you have a favorite cookbook or magazine where you find new healthy recipes? Where do you find your cooking inspiration? My Goals are to buy healthy snacks, bottled water, take my medicine religiously which is hard for me, make an effort to use the Wii Fit and see how that goes, Spark people can be a benefit so I need to use it as much as I can. I have several cook books but I do minimal of the cooking (which could change due to the fact my husband isn't a healthy eater LOL) I like Spark People's Recipes, My grocery store has healthy recipes.. Publix Apron Meals.. and Rachel Ray. If my eye gets better I am kind of side lined because of it but after it gets better Healthy eating and exercise!
Did you achieve you goals last week? This is my first post.

If your wondering what this is about go here
1. Charlie Sheen is an idiot and will probably end up with his own stupid reality show that will get 40 million viewers the first day and then people will fall asleep and quit watching. What person, celebrity or not, would you watch every eppy of a reality show if they were the center of it all? I am pretty much an off the cuff reality show addict. I used to be in to Survivor (that lasted a season or two), and Big Brother ( a few seasons then it interrupted my other shoes so it had to go bye bye), I have watched both versions of Extreme Makeover. and I still watch :Home Edition, I loved the Swan but it was canceled, Date my Dad, Who wants to marry a Millionaire.. those don't last long. Ok for several years (I guess?) I have heard the talk about Jersey Shore. So while I am here on the computer doing other things and just bsing I will turn it on MTV.com... I enjoy it. I am admitting it here. I don't think sleeping around is smart and drinking until your arrested is either... but they are kids and when I was that age I probably did things just as crazy.. So let them be them.. none of our business or right to judge right? I mean think about this? They take Taxis if they are going clubbing I think that is smart and shows smart smarts lol. Its like when you were in College (most are college age) and you went to Spring Break... meets Girls Gone Wild... meets as an adult you go to Atlantic City or Vegas for you Western shore people... What goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas anyone? I don't make this up so it has to have a story behind the quote LOL. So I've watched Jersey Shore because they can be funny and its just a TV show that I don't have to think about, pay much attention to, etc.. it doesn't EFFECT my life. I watched Teen Mom 1 I don't know why I started but I watched it and loved one couple from the show. Now I watch Teen Mom 2 and the train wreck of some of those teen agers. I've done a few seasons of Real World. On VH1 I watch Celebrity Rehab, Surreal Life, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels, My Fair Brady, Celebrity Fit Club, Breaking Bonaduce, Flavor of Love, Tila Tequila Shot at Love.. other reality shows like the Osbournes, and Bret Michaels Life As I know It, Family Jewels with Gene Simmons.. I love those LOL There are a lot of shows that I don't know if you equate them as being reality shows too. Like Cake Boss, The Duggars, Baby Story, True Life, Snapped, Clean House etc...
Right now as a family or a mini family We watch Bachelor and American Idol. The rest I dvr, catch when I catch it out of boredom or watch online.
Yup I might be a Celeb Reality/ Reality Show addict.
So what Reality Show would I watch every episode of? I am not sure probably one about Real Life Military unless it was that E Crapu-mentary that came on a few weeks ago
2. We all pay bills and wish we didn't have to. We all work and wish we could just lay around all day doing nothing. We all have those grown up responsibilities that we wish we could give to an African Elephant. Besides all the things the African Elephant got from you for the day, what is something from your high school years that you miss most of all? I love to learn. I love going to church (which really is like class isn't it? I have notes and a book, and a pen and a TEACHER of sorts...) So I still love to learn everyday. I love the social aspect of school and the pep rally's etc...
3. Sometimes we want to grow wings and fly. Whats the farthest you've fallen? Once I fell off the Great American Scream Machine... but emotionally I have hit some rocks luckily not Rock bottom and i hope to never see that point.
4. There is square bread, wheat bread, circle shaped bread, bread with nuts in it, funny named bread. When you open a bread bag, do you twist it when you are done or put the metal tie thingie back on? (And did you know that if you look at that metal tie thingie, it has a day of the week printed on it?) Yes I knew that the colors of the metal tie have a meaning per day of the week when the bread was baked. I generally twist and go... depends on my dedication LOL
5. Some spoiled little brat (hey.. my opinion) called 911 on her teacher because he shook his own desk to get the students attention in the class. (I know, right?) Think back... what clever ways did a teacher of yours use to get the attention of the class or a particular student? Um I don't really recall anything creative or unusual probably just extra assignments?
6. Artwork, pictures, notes, appointments. How many magnets are on your refrigerator? I have 80 not including parts of the alphabet stored on top.. odd how it was an even number? maybe...
7. Cats are fluffy, dogs are soft, snakes are leathery, fish are wet. What is an animal that you have held or petted that you don't think many people have had the chance? Turkey, my mom had a pet Turkey named Tom.
8. I'm coming to your house to paint your kitchen. I'm bringing the paint. What color should I not have with me? no black its just not right for a kitchen I think LOL.. i might loose my appliances!
9. Snow falls down, sometimes sideways. It still ends up on the ground. If snowflakes came in all different colors, which color snowflake would fall the fastest? They would all fall the same LOL
10. We caved... well at least I did. Are you glad Thursday Thunks is back? YES! I am a Newbie!
