If you haven't seen this one (youtube link) This cartoon is annoying because my children can be more intelligent than this stuffed creepy colorful bear that just pops into people's houses. He annoys me because he dumbs everything down. I don't think our kids need things dumbed down for them.
Boohbah
Luckily I didn't have to endure Boohbah very long. It aired when Skylar was a toddler. People at the time were giving criticism to Teletubbies which I kind of didn't mind nor did I mind Barney but Boohbah to me was just ridiculous. Luckily GPB ( Georgia Public Broadcasting) didn't air the show very long.
Chuggington
I just watched this for the first time this morning. I knew about it, seen the toys, even watched a review on Youtube about it but I really didn't like the cartoon. Nothing in particular just thought it was dumb. Perhaps its just my loyalty to "Thomas".
South Park
South Park I just don't find funny. As I used to say when I was younger rude, crude and socially unacceptable. I mean do we really need cartoon's like this? Funny how growing up I was banned from watching Beavis and Butthead but I still don't think they are near as bad as South Park. I just don't think being rude is funny. My southern class says Hell no Ya'll to this cartoon. Oh and their voices are one of the most annoying noises ever!
Spongebob Squarepants
I've learned to deal with this other rude, crude, cartoon character but I still refuse to buy products associated with him. Sometimes Skylar watches it and I just ask her to go somewhere else LOL.
Elmo
I love Sesame Street. I can't imagine the world without it but to make whole episodes or segments with Elmo just makes me batty. More than 5 minutes of his voice and I have to turn it off. The only thing I have ever liked of Elmo is the first version of the Tickle Me Elmo. I think he's going to grow up to be on South Park.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. ~~~ Maya Angelou
1. Something that makes me a great friend is, A person who is a good friend of mine. Will accept me for me. If I buy you things. Its not because I have more money than you (lack there of) its because I want to. Its not Charity or because I feel sorry for you. I enjoy buying things for other people.. Giving gifts its part of my charm haha. If I say something off color or that may have stung a little perhaps I didn't mean it like it sounded. I am bluntly honest and I speak my mind. A Great friend really listens. I know people that I speak to everyday that say they are a good friend but they never listen because I find myself repeating what I said. We all can forget certain things its true I do but not an entire conversation. A Great friend listens even when its not about them maybe I am having a bad day I just need an open ear and a praying heart. If I hurt your feelings say hey... what you said really hurt my feelings. Be as BLUNTLY honest with me as I am with you. Don't talk behind my back. If your not confrontational then we may not get a long. Honesty, Loyalty, Love my family as you love your own. Respect, A true friend is someone who can sense something has gone a miss for you that day and know to bring you something to cheer you up... like me its simple A Dove Chocolate can cure almost anything! A true friend is someone if the fate's be that you've disconnected with for months and you can get together again and it was like you never missed a beat. Friends calm you down when your pissed off. Best Friends start saying so-and-so is going to get it! A true friend your always comfortable with, Ok I am stopping there because I just need to write a separate blog on this subject.. 2. I am a sensitive person with a larger than life personality . Sometimes I am too much for some people 3. I am not deceptive except about Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny and anyone else I can use as black mail against my children . 4. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, Blunt, Loyal, Creative 5. Something I'm really cheap about is things for myself except my shoes. 6. Something I'm willing to splurge on is my shoes because they take care of my feet which carries the rest of me... My poor feet! 7. I would trade my too small too short too outdated wardrobe for a nicer better fitting wardrobe in a heart beat. I NEED new clothes but I am a horrible clothes shopper when I am alone... Rick is ZERO help

Are you or your child allergic to Peanuts or other food allergies? How do you deal with them? Are parents right in asking that a kid with a food allergy removed from public school because its just too dangerous? I know my daughters school has food rules. I can't send her to school with PB& J or any kind of cupcake for her Birthday because of Food Allergies. The rules are strict in standard for the protection of the children. Read the article and share your thoughts.
Parents want child with peanut allergy removed from school
So I was thinking. I have a very short tolerance for people that are ignorant, Close Minded, or too lazy to learn and do things for themselves. Stupidity has nothing to do with either of those two terms. If you were raised into ignorance you can rise above and educate yourself.
Definition of IGNORANCE
: the state or fact of being ignorant: lack of knowledge, education, or awareness
close-minded
1.Someone that does not try to view something in the opposite way. close-minded is when you beleive in something or in someone and your mind will stay closed to that beleive and will not even try to acknoledge it.
2. close-minded on religion or race is when you don't even try to understand. When you think that Allah is stupid or Shiva. And god and Jesus are the only dictators of the universe.
So on to the question of the day.
If you had to be like Dory from Finding Nemo ... you know short term memory loss, hyper, "nothing in my noggin" kind of brain or would you rather be ignorant and close minded?
How do you deal with these people anyways? You say hey there is a coupon for a free soda online. You just print it up and take it to the store... they say why don't you print it up for me and bring the soda here? Do you say go to hell? LOL What if it becomes a habit?
I am not very good at serving anyone with a silver platter. Matter of fact if you haven't shined my platter if I do give you something I am probably going to be pissy a bit about it. Dee Dee Dee
I don't get hand outs. If you want a cheap kitchen table then look on freecycle or a yard sale. Its not my job to do it for you. What makes you think I am more able bodied than you are? I don't usually even baby my children to that point. Sometimes yes we all need a hand and I am right there to provide you with a helping hand. But I REFUSE to be a constant babysitter for an able bodied adult that can do anything they want on their own. If I do it for you, if someone always does things for you. Then you will never learn to do it for yourself. If your broke... get a job... yes even with the price of daycare I did it! If your momma pays your bills and your over 18 guess what you have no reason to bitch about your momma! On the other hand they have plenty of reason to bitch at YOU! You can say hey can you keep an eye out for me my step son needs a coat. I say okay I will but then I expect you to do the same for me. If it ain't happening then don't ask twice. I am the Google Queen but that doesn't mean I have a million hours a day to google for you what you can google for yourself. Let me Google that for you?
Oh and most of all if I am doing you a favor there usually isn't a time limit on how long it will take me so don't ask me in five minutes if I am done... Your not my priority!
Did you ever love a song...then some drama happened that the song reminded you of and it quickly became on your ugh I can't stand that song list? What happened?
So yesterday. I unofficially really started to take control of my weight. I don't diet because diet is short term. You have to totally change your way of thinking, eating and exercising. I am using Sparkpeople.com for my calorie counter... and this blog.. So have you had your own weight loss journey? Did you use Atkins, Weight Watchers, or something else? Tell me about your experience and share your blog if you use one.

A man came home from work and found his three children outside still in their pajamas, playing in the mud with empty food boxes and 20 wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, and so was the front doorto the house, and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.
In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door.
As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap, and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went.
He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?'
She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?'
1. If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island but all your human needs – such as food and water – were taken care of what two items would you want to have with you? Recharging Internet Connected Device to read email, cruise the net, get GPS, play music, watch TV on .... and maybe pictures unless those are on my internet connected device lol
2. If you were a salad what kind of dressing would you have? Cucumber Ranch :) IDK why thats just what came to mind and Cucumber is my favorite veggie lol.
3. If you had to live on a ranch what kind of animals would you raise/own? I am a farm girl. My mom and Grand Father have both owned farms. I don't like the clean up or I would own horses now. So I would say Horses, Birds, Ponies, Donkey's, Cows, Chickens, Maybe a few pigs... William loves piglets..., Dogs, Cats, and maybe a wild animal of some kind legally licensed of course.
4. If your life was was portrayed as a movie who would you choose to play you and your significant other? Christina Ricci would be me and my husband is... um sheesh I don't know maybe if you look at his picture
Look at his picture and leave your vote in the comments (he's the one holding the baby.)
5. What was the last thing you put a stamp on (envelope duh but what was in the envelope)? Greeting Card
This still has the same effect on me as the first time I saw it. I wish President Obama would listen if he hasn't. This poem refueled the fire that I thought had kindled down after 2 deployments and leaving the Army life behind and seemingly to get the cold shoulder from others.
I know my passion to serve never died. I have wanted to join the military since I was 18 and tried to join three branches of service myself. 9/11 was what made me stop actually in all honesty I was going to MEPS the next day.
What is your opinion on the poem?
Lyrics (from BadAssMarine.com):
Free
and She called...
Blacks, Whites...wait
African Americans and Caucasians, Asians, excuse me.
Vietnamese, Philipenes, Koreans and Jamaicans or
Haitans, waitin' Hispanics y'all.
Please be paitent

I beg your pardon, you partied with the late, great Reagan?
Republican, Independent, Christian, Catholic,
Methodist, Baptist, 7th Day Adventist, 5 Percenters,
Hindu, Sunii Muslim, Brothers and Sisters who never seen the New York city
skyline when the twin towers still existed.
But still She called.
From the bowels of Ground Zero she sent this 911 distress signal.
Because She was in desperate need of a hero,
and didn't have time to decipher what to call 'em,
so she called 'em all Her children.
The children of the stars and bars who needed to know nothing more than the fact that she called.
The fact that someone attempted to harm us
this daughter who covered us all with her loving arms.
And now these arms are sprawled across New York City streets.
A smoke filled lung, a silt covered faced,
and a solitary tear poured out of her cheek.
Her singed garments carpets Pennsylvania Avenue and the Pentagon was under her feet.
As she began to talk, she began to cough up small particles of debris
and said, "I am America, and I'm calling on the land of the free."
So they answered.
All personal differences set to the side
because right now there was no time to decide which state building the Confederate flag should fly over,
and which trimester the embryo is considered alive,
or on our monetary units, and which God we should confide.
You see, someone attempted to choke the voice
of the one who gave us the right for choice,
and now she was callin.
And somebody had to answer.
Who was going to answer?
So they did.
Stern faces and chisled chins.
Devoted women and disciplined men,
who rose from the ashes like a pheonix
and said "don't worry, we'll stand in your defense."
They tightened up their bootlaces
and said goodbye to loved ones, family and friends.
They tried to bombard them with the "hold on", "wait-a-minute's", and "what-if's".
And "Daddy, where you goin?".
And, "Mommy, why you leavin?".
And they merely kissed them on their foreheads and said "Don't worry, I have my reasons.
You see, to this country I pledged my allegience
to defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic.
So as long as I'm breathin, I'll run though hell-fire,
meet the enemy on the front lines,
look him directly in his face,
stare directly in his eyes and scream,
"I AM AMERICA! WE WILL NOT BE TERRORIZED!
WE WILL NOT BE TERRORIZED!
I REFUSE TO BE AFRAID!
I'LL FIGHT YOU ANY COUNTRY, ANY CONTINENT, ANY TERRAIN.
I'LL FIGHT TO MY LAST BREATH!"
And if by chance death is my fate,
pin my medals upon my chest,
and throw Old Glory on my grave.
But, don't y'all cry for me.
You see, my Father's prepared a place.
I'll be a part of his Holy army standing a watch at the Pearly Gates.
Because freedom was never free.
POW's, and fallen soldiers
all paid the ultimate sacrafice
along side veterans who put themselves in harms way.
Risking their lives and limbs just to hold up democracy's weight,
but still standing on them broken appendages anytime the National Anthem was played.
You see, these were the brave warriors that gave me the right
to say that I'm Black. Or white.
Or
African American or Caucasian,
I'm Asian, excuse me.
I'm Vietnamese, Philipene, Korean, or Jamaican.
I'm Haitan, Hispanic
Y'all, Please be paitent.

I'm Republican, Independent, Christian, Catholic,

So with that I say
"Thank You" to the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines,
for preserving my rights
to live and die for this life
and paying the ultimate price for me to be...FREE!

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.
Equally unfortunately, my wife is like most women - she loved to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Wal-Mart:
Dear Mrs. Samsel,
Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Samsel are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.
1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking.
2 . July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.
3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice,'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away. '
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on layaway.
6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.
8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him, he began crying and screamed,'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'
9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.
12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.
13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'
14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'
And last, but not least .
15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly,'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!'
